GFLS is a proud ambassador of education
GFLS's mission is to preserve cultura and tradición while promoting higher education among our Latinx community.
Class
After arduous work and dedication, GFLS proudly introduced a folklorico class to registered SJSU students. Yes! SJSU now provides a 1-unit folklorico class that can count as a P.E. requirement. This class is available to everyone, not only SJSU students, but to the community in general that is interested in learning about Mexican folklore.
Instructed by Maestra Maria Luisa Colmenarez, this class is for beginners who want to expand on their knowledge of folkloric dance. No experience is necessary. This class is open to the community, for ages 17 and above. Classes are currently held Mondays & Wednesdays. See the SJSU course catalog for more details. |
